Richmond, Indiana red, navy blue, and white jacquard coverlet by Matthew Rattray, the eagle corner blocks inscribed "1853", the bottom border with birds of paradise and trees, the side borders with potted floral trees, the interior with floral and sunburst medallions, 88" x 77". This lot is pictured in Coverlets by Melinda Zongor and Joseph D. Shein, pgs. 172 and 173.
Excellent with some minor loss to fringe edge.
