Richmond, Indiana navy blue and white jacquard coverlet by Matthew Rattray, the eagle corner blocks inscribed "1853", the borders decorated with birds of paradise and trees, the interior with geometric and foliate designs, 78" x 79". This lot is pictured in Coverlets by Melinda Zongor and Joseph D. Shein, pgs. 170 and 171.
Good condition. Typical wear to top edge/minor. Several small to medium losses in body.
