Chester County, Pennsylvania red, navy blue, brown, and white jacquard coverlet by Casper Peterman, the bottom border inscribed "Sarah. Parker. 1843. C. Peterman. Brandywine. C.C. PA.", the left and right borders with trees and flower heads enclosing an interior with stars, sunbursts, flowers, and geometric designs, 89" x 83". This lot is pictured in Coverlets by Melinda Zongor and Joseph D. Shein, pgs. 96 and 97.
Loss to fringe. A few areas of fading of red. Some sporadic losses - mostly small. A couple small holes.
