Red and white jacquard coverlet, probably New York, the corners inscribed "1861", the border with foliate design, the interior with spread winged eagles, foliate decoration, bucks, birds, and domed buildings surrounding a foliate wreath with interior circle of flowers, grapevines, swirls, and central star, 98" x 88". This lot is pictured in Coverlets by Melinda Zongor and Joseph D. Shein, pgs. 202 and 203.
Overall very good/excellent condition. A few small losses to red.
