Pennsylvania red, blue, green, and white jacquard coverlet, ca. 1850, by Seifert & Co., the building decorated corner blocks inscribed "Superiour. Coverlets. Manufactured. The latest. fashion. by. Seifert. & Co. Mechanicsburg. Cumberland. County. Pennsylvania", the border with potted flowers, the interior with elaborate tiled sunburst and floral medallions, 101" x 98". This lot is pictured in Coverlets by Melinda Zongor and Joseph D. Shein, pgs. 160 and 161.
Very good condition. Some fringe loss. A few small stains. Some areas of wear in body and along top edge with some losses to yarn.
