Rare red, olive green, and white jacquard coverlet, ca. 1840, the border depicting men's profiles and inscribed with the Presidents' names of Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Adams, Jackson, Van Buren, Harrison, and Tyler, the interior with floral, palm, and grape decoration, 90" x 91". This lot is pictured in Coverlets by Melinda Zongor and Joseph D. Shein, pgs. 84 and 85.
Minor fringe loss. Overall good/very good with a couple small areas of wear.
