New York navy blue, and white jacquard coverlet, the edge inscribed "Eagle & Stars 1838", decorated with rows of eagles and stars encompassing calvary men with swords drawn and rows of potted flowers and fruit, 86" x 72". This lot is pictured in Coverlets by Melinda Zongor and Joseph D. Shein, pgs. 48 and 49.
Overall very good. Loss to fringe edge. One very small repair and very small loss.
