Martin Brechall (Southeastern Pennsylvania, active 1783-1830), watercolor and ink on paper printed, drawn, and handcolored taufschein for Nicolaus Dieffenbucher, 1815, Bern Township, Columbia County, with a central rectangle enclosing printed script, surmounted by an eagle, tulips, and vines, flanked by two rectangles enclosing script, flowers, and vines, in red, yellow, and blue, 10 3/4" x 16 3/4".
Minor edge losses. Tears on both sides. Water staining, mainly to bottom left corner. Light foxing.
