Holland & Holland top lever hammerless Rook rifle, .297/.250 cal., barrel inscribed Holland & Holland, 98 New Bond St., London on the right flat and Winners of the Field Rifle Trials-297/250 Semi Smooth Bore on the left flat, three-leaf platinum-lined 200 yard express sight, a gold-filled safe indicator, a nicely engraved receiver, trigger guard, and lever and a checkered English walnut pistol grip stock with a cheek rest on the left side and a silver escutcheon on the bottom, serial #18978, 26" octagonal barrel. C&R The blued barrel has a frosty bone and has sharp lettering on the flats. The receiver retains 80% and case colors and has crisp scroll engraving. The trigger guard retains most of its original blue. The action works smoothly. The English walnut stock is in good condition except for a 1/2" depression in the left pistol grip and 1 1/4" scratch at the junction of the stock and receiver which extends 1/4" into the receiver. Fine condition.
