Alex Henry side by side under lever double-hammer Express rifle, .577/.500 cal., black powder proof barrels without ejectors, rib inscribed Alex Henry, Edinburgh & London Patent No. 3206, with a two-leaf platinum-lined express rear sight, nicely scroll engraved back action locks, hammers, receiver and trigger guard and a checkered pistol grip stock with a left side cheek rest and a sling swivel attachment, serial #4147, 28" damascus barrels. The 28" rifle barrels have crisp rifling and damascing turning brown. They are marked "Henry's Patent A&T 3269 and 3270 respectively. The scroll work on the receiver, hammers, locks and trigger ward is well done. The English walnut stode has a capped pistol grip, sling swivel attachment and stag escutcheon on the underside. The checkering is worn and there are numerous small dents and scratches. The pull is 15" including a well worn 1" rubber pad and spacer. The drop is 3". The upper tang has two small screw holes on it. Very good condition.
