Group of miniature tin alloy candlesticks dredged from the River Thames, to include a North West Europe miniature tin candlestick, 16th c., possibly used for votive purposes, 1 5/8" h., together with another English tin example, 14th c., and two other examples, one with decorated base, 1 1/4" h. The tin example is Pictured in Christopher Bangs, The Lear Collection: A Study of Copper-Alloy Socket Candlesticks - A.D, 200 - 1700, 1995, No. 72. Provenance: The Collection of F.R. "Bud" Lear III.
