Delaware Valley Chippendale walnut two part secretary bookcase, ca. 1780, the upper section with ogee cornice over two recessed panel doors enclosing an interior with scalloped pigeon holes and four drawers above candleslides, resting on a base with a fall front above four graduated drawers supported by ogee bracket feet, retaining period brasses, 83 1/2" h., 40" w. Provenance: Chris Rebollo Antiques.
Totally original, highly figured wood, brasses are period but probably replaced, mellow old finish.
