Colonial American flintlock long fowler, approximately .65 caliber, having a shaped brass thumb escutcheon, dated 1767, the brass butt plate with tang, inscribed I Dovalston, brass side plate, the trigger guard terminal of a panoply of arms, no markings apparent on lock or barrel, 61 1/2" barrel. Several cracks in stock along barrel, heavy pitting to barrel, 1/4" x 3" patch forward of the trigger guard.
