Cased James Collins percussion side by side double-barrel shotgun, 16 gauge, London and black powder proof barrels with nice damasking, the receiver and trigger guard with finely engraved hunting scenes, with a straight English walnut stock with a silver escutcheon with a crest at the wrist, 28 3/4" barrels. The beautiful damascus barrels one labeled "Collins 115 Regent St. London" on rib and have two gold bands between the nipples. 80% case coloring remains on locks and mechanism is fully functional. All metal parts are nicely engraved including screws which are not marred. The highly varnished English walnut stock shows some superficial scratches and is checkered at the wrist. Pull is 14 1/2" and the drop is 2 3/4". Brass tip cleaning rod. Very good condition.
