Arnold Hoevelmann (Southeastern Pennsylvania, active 1771-1796), York County watercolor and ink on laid paper fraktur birth record, dated 1790, with central script flanked on one side by a soldier in a dress uniform with a sword and on the other side by a colorful floral vine, 11 1/2" x 15". Light toning. 4" x 4" patch to lower right corner. Edge tears throughout with repairs to tears. Patches to lower and upper left corners. Not glued down.
