Alex Martin top lever hammerless Rook rifle with ejectors, .297/.250 cal., the barrel inscribed Alex Martin 20 Exchange Square, Glasgow on right top flat and At Edinburgh and Aberdeen on the left top flat, with a one-leaf platinum-lined express rear sight, automatic safety with silver inlay indicator, a checkered walnut stock pistol grip and a comb cut for a rear tang sight, serial #6370, 28 1/2" octagonal barrels. The blued barrel retains 90% of blue and has a 1" area on the bottom flat where the blue is missing. There is a small hole in the upper flat behind the front sight, probably for a hood or globe. The receiver is marked with the makers name and retains 80% of case colors. The bore is peppery. The tang has a tang sight hole behind the safety and butt stock comb has been cut for a tang sight with another hole forward of the comb. Very good condition
