William Evans side lever Rook rifle with ejectors, .250 cal., the barrel inscribed William Evans 63 Pall Mall, St. James, London, with a two-leaf platinum-lined rear express sight, a scroll engraved receiver with nice case colors, a checkered walnut pistol grip stock and a case colored cap, serial #12346, 26" round barrel. The barrel retains approximately 80 % of blue with a peppery bore. Both the front and rear sight bases are contiguous to the barrel. The receiver is nicely, scroll engraved and retains 80% of case colors. The walnut stock is checkered and has a case colored, capped, pistol grip and a silver escutcheon behind the pistol grip. The but is plain walnut. The wood bears normal handling marks. Condition is fine.
