Virginia Manufactory model 1797 musket, .69 caliber, 44" barrel.
Barrel length - 43 1/2". Bright barrel, lock and triggerguard. Lock marked Richmond over 1809 behind cock and "Virginia" and a faint "Manufactory" forward of the cock. Barrel has been cleaned at touch hole and the pan appears to have been replaced. Stock has been varnished with numerous dings and dents. Five small holes in buttstock and one at wrist have been filled.
