Virginia full stock percussion long rifle, approximately .44 caliber, with a maple stock, a scroll engraved brass patch box, set triggers, and German silver stag and hound inlays on the cheek rest, signed A. McGilvray on the barrel flat, the lock inscribed H. Elwell Warranted, 44'' heavy rifled octagonal barrel.
The hammer does not stay cocked. The maple stack has a 3.5" through and through crack from mid buttplate to the bottom of the buttstock. Purchasers of firearms must comply with all state and federal regulations governing their purchase, registration and transportation.
