US Springfield model 1884 trapdoor Cadet Rifle, .45-70 caliber, with Buffington rear sight, inspector proof dated 1886, walnut stock, 29 1/2" barrel. SN #363118 Provenance: The Firearms & Militaria Collection of Robert Spangler Jr., West Chester, Pennsylvania.
Good overall condition with blue on barrel turning plum, bright bore with strong rifling, good blue on hammer, lock and trigger guard, case colors on breech block, very good stock.
