US Springfield model 1866 trapdoor rifle and bayonet, .50-70 caliber, with the lock marked 1864, with eagle and US Springfield, the barrel with eagle head proof, the breech dated 1866, with eagle head proof, walnut stock, sling swivels, folding rear sight, 40" barrel.
Overall good condition, handling marks to stock, frosty bore, metal turning brown, later sling.
