US Springfield model 1842 percussion rifle, approximately .69 caliber, the lock with spread wing eagle, inscribed US Springfield 1851, with walnut stock having G. E. Saunders carved in buttstock, opposing side with JWP, with sling swivels, 42" barrel.
Overall very good condition, barrel turning brown, correct ramrod, fully functional lock.
