U.S. Model 1842 Aston percussion pistol, .54 cal., smoothbore, with an 8 1/2" round barrel.
1847 dated lock with clear legend. Bright but slightly pitted barrel. Two strong cartouches to left wrist. Brass bright work polished. Crack in right stock from forward lock up to barrel. Articulated ramrod.
