Two English creamware pitchers of naval interest, early 19th c., the first with a Sunderland lustre rim above two naval engagements depicting the Enterprize and Boxer, and the United States and Macedonian, 5 1/4'' h., the other pitcher featuring Major General Brown Niagara and Don't Surrender the ship Lawrence, 4 3/4'' h. Provenance: R. H. Wood, 1963.

Condition

Spout chip to first, hairline running the circumference of pitcher, wear to glaze on edges, second with two small rim hairlines, allover glaze loss that is heavier at edges.
