Liverpool Herculaneum pitcher, early 19th c., with a transfer decoration of the Fireman's Arms, the reverse with a bust of Washington flanked by peace and liberty, and the front initialed JLM for Captain John Morton, paper label on bottom inscribed Brought from England by my great-great-grandfather, Capt. John Morton and given to his daughter Sarah E. Morton, who was my grandmother, 8 3/4'' h. For further reference, see McCauley Liverpool Transfer Designs on Anglo-American Pottery, pg. 86.

Condition

Light staining to one side. Overall very good condition.
