Three Civil War era cavalry horse bits, to include a scarce bit inscribed Allegheny Arsenal 1864, with brass US rosettes, 5 5/8" w., a Rock Island Arsenal dated 1905 and a Shoemaker bit in the 1874 pattern with brass US rosettes, 5 1/2" w.
Shoemaker pitting - heavier pitting. Others - As expected wear consistent with age.
