Thomas Jefferson signed military appointment for Robert French to Surgeon's Mate in the Navy dated 1807, 17" x 13 3/4".
Light allover staining. On vellum. Laid down onto a backing. Text is readable. Dark signature. Edges slightly trimmed. Significant bow to board that it is laid down on. 1/2" hole within text. Slight smears to text. 1/5" tear just below Smith signature. No other apparent condition issues.
