Springfield model 1847 ''Sappers and Miners'' percussion musketoon, .69 caliber, with bayonet in leather scabbard, the lock stamped Spring Field 1847, with eagle, the barrel with VP eagle head proof, having an inspector cartouche on left wrist, straight walnut stock, one of 830 produced, the bayonet with fish scale grip, the Ames marked ricasso stamped US ADK 1855 on opposing side, 26'' barrel.
Condition
Heavy pitting near the bolster, barrel tarnished, good stocks with initials TT on right butt stock, missing upper swivel, overall good condition.
