Heavy swivel breech percussion rifle, approximately .45 rifled caliber over a .45 caliber smoothbore, signed and dated 1872 on barrel flat, back action lock with simple engraving, with oval patch box with engraved hunting scene, tiger maple stock, cheek rest with two silver stag inlays, 34'' octagonal barrels. Both barrels are illegibly signed, bright barrels turning brown back, two silver inlays are a later addition.
