Remington model 1863 "Zouave" percussion rifle, .58 caliber, with walnut stock, having inspectors cartouche on left flat, the barrel with VP eagle head stamp, dated 1863, the lock inscribed Remington's Ilion - 1863, with US spread wing eagle, two leaf folding rear sight, simple brass patch box, butt plate, trigger guard, nose cap, and barrel bands, with a bayonet and scabbard, 33" barrel.
Overall good condition, heavy handling marks to stock, 1/2" x 5" patch in front of lock plate, small patch behind barrel tang, crack at lockplate screw going forward, scabbard with loss to tip and seam separation, pitting to barrel.
