Reading, Pennsylvania walnut tall case clock, late 18th c., with a broken arch bonnet enclosing a brass face works, inscribed "No 122, John Keim" with a pewter chapter ring and eagle engraved boss, above a waist with a tombstone door, over a base with a raised panel supported by straight bracket feet, 90 1/2" h. For similar examples see Machmer Berks County Tall-Case Clocks 1750 to 1850 pgs. 49 & 50. Provenance: Keim home, Oley Valley; Edgar & Charlotte Sittig.

Condition

Parts: weight, pendulum. 1/2" chip to corner of cornice. Glass replaced. Side glass panel shattered. 1 1/4" ship added to saddleboard supports. Hinges replaced. Lacking lock. We do not guarantee the working condition of clocks.
