Pennsylvania walnut wainscot armchair, ca. 1720, with straight crest and 3-slat back flanked by scalloped arms supported by square molded edge legs joined by stretchers. A similar example in the collection of Richard Dietrich, Jr. is illustrated in Lindsey, Worldly Goods, fig. 143. Provenance: Joe Kindig Jr. & Son Antiques. A copy of a handwritten note referring to this item by Joe Kindig accompanies the lot.
Parts: Information/Letter. Patch to top of stile. Repaired blowout to middle splat. Feet rockered. Seat replaced.
