Rare Mancius family, Boston William & Mary carved maple dining chair, ca. 1700, branded W. Mancius on the lower back rail. Wilhelmus Mancius, who inherited the chair was born in Ulster County, New York in 1739. Another chair from this set was sold at Pook & Pook, Inc., January 14, 2011, Lot 470. Provenance: Joe Kindig, Jr., York, Pennsylvania, 1935.

Parts: information. Repaired breaks to crest. Feet ended out 1". Leather seat and back replaced. Property Formerly in the Collection of Titus Geesey
