Rare English linen spot sampler with geometric and figurative patterns initialed "ML" and dated "1611" worked in colored silk thread, silver, and silver gilt thread in various stitches including open chain, pulled work, satin, arrowhead, etc. with tulip tree, snail, floral sprays, and insects, 11 1/2" x 8 1/4".
