Rare Delft blue and white plate dated 1738, initialed HTE, 8 3/4" dia. This plate belongs to a small number of services made for a group of Chester County Quakers. A similar plate, also dated 1738, bearing the initials of the Levis family was sold at Pook & Pook, Inc., January 11, 2008, lot 119.
6" crack and several smaller cracks. Smaller rim chips and flakes. Several glaze pops to body.
