Providence, Rhode Island silk on linen needlework sampler, inscribed "Wrought by Mary Almira Tingley September 29th 1829" with central diamond enclosing script with alphabets and verse, the corners with elaborate floral branches worked in a variety of stitches, 17 1/2" x 17 1/2".
Some slight staining. Some minor stitch losses to border. Overall excellent condition.
