Philippe Abraham Peticolas(Virginia, 1760-1841), watercolor on ivory oval three quarter length portrait of a member of the Russell family in a brown coat, blue and white striped waistcoat, and lace cravat, signed with a monogram "P" on the lower right and the reverse with monogram "JR" engraved on a shield surrounded by a brown lock of hair, 2 1/2" h.
1/2" abrasion to right of head. 1/2" stain to left of head. 1/8" abrasion to left of head. Three small flakes to bottom edge. Several cracks to ivory panel that hair is attached to. Frame is loose and needs to be secured.
