Charles Wilson Peale(American, 1741-1827), watercolor on ivory portrait of James Blair in a brown coat and white stock with powdered hair, retaining a gilded wood frame, 1 3/8" h. Blair is listed in Dr. Sellers book of Peale sitters. Provenance: The Blair Collection; Mrs. Albert E. Hoffman; Bonhams.
