Philadelphia William & Mary walnut settle bench, ca. 1740, the back with straight crest rail and 5 raised panels, above downward sloping arms and paneled ends, supported by straight square front legs terminating in ball feet, 42 2/4" h., 72" w. This piece has always been referred to as the Bartram Settle per letter of Donald Shelley, September 25, 1961and in Antiques Magazine article by Kindig. Provenance: Joe Kindig Jr. & Son Antiques.

Parts: Information/Letter. Seat flooring replaced. Evidence of seat overupholstery. Repaired break to leg at seat frame.
