Pennsylvania walnut wainscot armchair, ca. 1720, with a scalloped crest and raised panel back flanked by scrolled plank arms with baluster turned supports above a plank seat resting on turned and block front legs, joined by a baluster and ring turned stretcher. Provenance: J. Stodgell Stokes, Parke Bernet Galleries, Inc., March 20, 1948, Lot 167; Joe Kindig Jr. & Son Antiques. A copy of a letter to Joe Kindig lists this item and accompanies the lot.
