Philadelphia combback Windsor armchair, ca. 1775, with an arched crest rail and carved ears above outward facing arms, with boldly carved knuckle arm rests above a saddle seat supported by turned legs, joined by baluster and ring turned stretchers, retaining a historic black painted surface with gilded highlights over an original green surface. Provenance: A Canadian collection.
