Percussion sixteen-gauge shotgun with a {William Mason} U.S. model {1863} lock, a half stock 30" smooth barrel, marked {JH Johnston Great Western Gun Works Pittsburgh, PA}, together with a half stock .30 caliber percussion rifle with a 39" octagonal barrel and maple stock, lock marked {LIBEAU CINCINNATI}, no SNs.
One - wood has numerous handling marks and chips, barrel turning plum brown. Other - lock fully functional, barrel flat marked {SB}, metal turning brown, ramrod attachment loose.
