Lancaster, Pennsylvania silk on linen needlework sampler, dated 1824, inscribed Frances Herr worked in her 12th year, with house flanked by potted flowers, hearts, birds, and dogs, with a trailing floral vine and silk ribbon border, possibly Ruth H. Redmans School, 22" x 21". Provenance: Purchased at Millersville Fire Hall in 1990 for the Estate of Alberta Louise Halbach.
