Highly unusual Pennsylvania painted poplar dower chest, late 18th c., the front and sides with ivory panels and town views with a man and horse drawn cart, 31 1/4'' h., 47 3/4'' w. Provenance: Peter Deen, Lancaster, Pennsylvania, February 4, 1995.
Case rebuilt from mid molding down. One hinge loose from top. Wear.
