Pennsylvania painted dower chest, dated 1808, inscribed Johannes Hock, decorated with three arched panels and stylized tulip trees flanked by hearts on a stippled red ground, the lid with an oval panel enclosing tulip trees, above three drawers and ogee bracket feet, 29" h., 47 1/2" w.
Lock missing to middle drawer, hole to top of middle drawer, feet replaced.
