Pair of Southeastern Pennsylvania watercolor fraktur bookmarks, early 19th c., the first depicting two birds flanking a stylized tulip tree, the second with a large preening bird, 4 1/2" x 3". A nearly identical example to the later is illustrated in The Pennsylvania German Fraktur of the Free Library of Philadelphia, fig. 144. Not examined out of frame. Top edges glued. Good condition. No apparent damages or repairs.
