Pair of Pennsylvania or Maryland Federal mahogany shieldback dining chairs, ca. 1795, each with a carved back and serpentine slip seat, supported by tapering legs with a large flute, terminating in spade feet.
Dimensions: 18" h. (seat), 38" h., 20" w. Original yellow pine slip seat. One chair with repair at apron and wobbly. Provenance: PA educational institution.
