Ornate French double hammer fusil de chasse shotgun, ca. 1780, 16 gauge, bearing the mark of St. Etienne maker Jerome Blachon, with barrels by the St. Etienne Merley family, with a figured walnut stock with relief carved floral details, intricate gold inlaid and gilt barrels, iron hardware, and a silver thumb escutcheon, barrel flat marked Canon Tordu (barrel twisted), 36 1/4'' octagonal to round barrels.
Condition
Fully functional original flint locks. There is a 3"x1" repair to the right side of the comb. Purchasers of firearms must comply with all state and federal regulations governing their purchase, registration and transportation.
