Full stock percussion rifle, approximately .45 caliber, with a maple stock, a three-piece engraved brass patch box, and silver escutcheons, the lock inscribed Ashmore Warranted, the side plate inscribed DH Gibbs, 32 1/4'' octagonal barrel.
The lock has been converted from flint and the mainspring is broken and is missing the forward screw. The stock shows hard use and the lower brass buttplate tang is missing. Purchasers of firearms must comply with all state and federal regulations governing their purchase, registration and transportation.
