New Jersey or New York gumwood linen press, late 18th c., 78" h., 51 1/2" w. Property sold with the approval of the trustees of the Philadelphia Museum of Art to benefit acquisition funds.
4" x 1" patch above doors, 3" section of cornice replaced, 1" strip replaced to both back edges, lower section of cornice molding replaced on both ends, one backboard replaced, large patches to lower corners of doors, lacking locks, brasses replaced, losses and patches to drawer lips.
